Do You Think It’s Ok? (TFK Post #1)



More than 3 years ago, former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, was overthrown by the U.S.. Recently, Hussein was sentenced to death because of crimes on humanity. The Iraqi court announced this some time ago. Saddam Hussein Ruled the country of Iraq from 1979 until 2003. He was accused of over 30,000 deaths, and found responsible. Hussein is scheduled to appeal in mid-January 2007. In Iraq, Shiite Muslims were glad Hussein was sentenced to death, but Sunni Muslims were angry about the verdict. When Hussein was told, he reacted angrily, but 2 days later, he said “I call on all Iraqis-Arabs and Kurds- to forgive, reconcile, and shake hands”. So do you think it is fair that Saddam Hussein is sentenced to death? Please state your opinions in comments. :) Thank You! :)

    i think he should be put to death because of all the damage he hsas caused to our country.
